Danish businesses are characterised by an easy-going corporate culture that allows for open and honest communication and in most large companies English is the official corporate language. Socialising
Social life at work is concentrated around the lunch break and at social events during the year, e.g. every year almost 100.000 employees in Danish companies participate in an annual run in central Copenhagen, which is a way of supporting a healthy lifestyle as well as giving the employees a possibility of socialising.

However it is normal for Danes to prioritize family life and sports activities, which means they often go straight home from work. The social climax of the year is typically the Christmas lunch in December.
