CULTURE AND ATTRACTIONS

Herlev town centre offers many cultural events and activities. This is where the library, cinema, music school, public drawing school and the community centre are located. In the northern part of Herlev, Gammelgaard Cultural Centre offers art exhibitions, a children's nature centre, the Klauzdal music venue and other attractions.

Many opportunities
In the town centre shopping is also an attraction and Herlev has a variety of shops along with excellent parking. Herlev also has many sports facilities and is a renowned name in ice hockey, squash and taekwondo.

Herlev is currently establishing a state-of-the-art exercise track with electricity supply and "pit stops" featuring cultural or physical activities such as sports playgrounds. Prioritising sports and physical activity is part of Herlev's health strategy, which aims to significantly improve health in the municipality in the coming years.

Worth mentioning is also "Skovlunde and Herlev Golf clubs" and a riding school.

Herlev is also home to Hjortespringkilen, a preserved area of great natural beauty. Part of Hjortespringkilen is an arboretum with some 90 different types of trees and bushes at present. Eventually the arboretum will have 120 different types of trees and bushes.
