BUSINESS PROFILE

Glostrup municipality is home to several large companies as well as many small and medium sized companies.

Glostrup is a commercial town with a sizeable centre and major warehouse facilities for segments such as furniture, building materials, carpets, kitchens, electrical appliances etc.

Glostrup is also a financial centre. All the leading Danish banks and credit institutions have branches in Glostrup. The 2 largest financial institutions have also established regional centres in the municipality. There are also many doctors, lawyers and accountants based in Glostrup.

Transport and logistics form an important business sector in Glostrup, in part due to the excellent infrastructure in and around Glostrup. There is also a number of manufacturing companies, but only a small presence of industrial enterprises.

There is not much available in the way of commercial land plots in Glostrup. New companies wishing to establish themselves in Glostrup must therefore purchase or lease existing commercial properties.

Work is currently under way on converting 3 commercial areas in Ejby, Hvissinge and Glostrup, and work is also ongoing to establish commercial premises on an area of disused land owned by Danish State Railways.
