BUSINESS SITES OWNED BY THE MUNICIPALITY

Copenhagen's population is increasing. In 15 years, Copenhagen's population will have increased by 100,000 which requires 45,000 new homes as well as new schools, kindergartens and an efficient infrastructure. 

Thus, we are developing new areas of the city:

• Ørestad, near the airport, will by 2030 have 25,000 citizens and 80,000 work- and study places.
  
• The Dutch inspired canal-city, Sydhavnen (Sluseholm and Teglholm) is under development with room for 9,000 apartments and 22,500 workplaces.
  
• The new area to come in the former industrial docks at North Habour makes space for 40,000 new Copenhageners and 40,000 workplaces towards 2025.
  
• Carlsberg, the world-famous brewery has moved production out of the city and hereby leaving space for 3,000 apartments  and 10,000 workplaces.
  
• Valby, former industrial areas will be transformed into attractive zones for living and creative business.
